Saba Qamar Zaman or better known as Saba Qamar is a Pakistani model, TV host, and actress.  She has been a performing powerhouse for past 6 years as she has appeared in a diversity of television shows and advertisements. In 2010, she shot to fame when she played a politician in Jinaah Ke Naam opposite Sami Khan for PTV (Pakistan Television). After that she never looked back, she has a nick for comedy too and that side has made her face of Pakistan’s longest running satire show “Hum Sab Umeed Sey Hain”.

Today is Saba Qamar’s Birthday, so as a birthday special we are keyboarding the list of some of the best dramas of Saba Qamar.

1. Dastaan

Dastaan was dramatized version of Urdu novel Bano, by Razia Butt. The story is based on the partition of India and theindependence of Pakistan, and the events takeing place between 1947 and 1956. Saba Qamar played the role of Suraiya, the sister in law of Bano. Dastaan was aired in 2010 on Hum TV

2. Uraan

Uraan was aired in 2010-2011 and the serial deals with the issues of marriage, divorce and domestic violence. It also recognized the strength, talent and courage of the modern Pakistani woman. Uraan was written by Umera Ahmed and it was aired on Geo TV. Saba Qamar played role of Ayesha Aleem who is going through an abusive marriage.

3. Maat

Maat was a Pakistani TV drama for Hum TV which premiered in September 2011. The drama is based on an Urdu novel of the same name by Umera Ahmed. The story is about greed and betrayal, Saba Qamar played the role of greedy sister the antagonist Saman.

4. Thakan

Thankan is story of hardships and struggle, the TV drama premiered on 10 May 2012 on ARY Digital  and It is One of the most Highest rated Dramas of Pakistan and 2nd Highest rated Drama of 2012. Saba Qamar played the lead role of Sadaf in Thakan who works extremely hard like a machine day and night to run her family but no one feels sympathy for her or even cares about her.

5. Kaisay Tum Se Kahoon

Kaisay Tum Se Kahoon was aired on Hum TV in 2015, this romantic drama serial is based on the novel of Maha Malik. Kaisay Tum Se Kahoon is a hugely popular serial of 2015, especially abroad in the U.K. Saba Qamar appeared as Anamta in this serial.

6. Digest Writer

Digest Writer aired in 2014 and it is a drama based on the life of Farida (Saba Qamar), a girl belonging to a lower-middle-class family and, studying in college and is also a very talented girl. she aspires to become a Digest magazine writer under the Pen name of “Rashk-i-Hina”. This drama was one of the most watched drama of 2014 and 2015 it also earned Saba Qamar Nomination for Hum Awards.

7. Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi

The award winning TV Serial Ullu Baraaye Farokht Nahi was aired in 2013 on Hum TV. The plot of the serial revolves around the families of two landowning brothers. Saba Qamar appeared in Ulu Baraye Farokht Nahi as Gul-e-Raana, wife of Ghulam Farid (Noman Ijaz).

8. Na Kaho Tum Mere Nahi

Na Kaho Tum Mere Nahi was aired on Hum TV in 2012. The drama is a story of a married couple Meerab (Ahsan Khan) and Mehreen (Saba Qamar). It shows how their life suffers due to Meerab’s elder sister Bano apa.

9. Pani Jaisa Pyar

Pani Jaisa Pyar is the story of Sana (Saba Qamar), a 25-year-old girl from Faisalabad. Pani Jaisa Pyar aired on Hum TV in 2011. It was written by  Moomal Shunaid, and was directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat. This was on of the most popular TV serials of 2011 and the OST of the show sung by Sanam Marvi was also a hit.

10. Tera Pyar Nahi Bhoole

Tera Pyar Nahi Boole was aired in 2011-2012 on PTV Home. The serial was directed by Fouzia Siddique, and Rafique Ahmad Warraich. Jahanzaib Qamar is the writer of Tera Pyar Nahi Boole. Tere Pyar Nahi Boole was a romantic drama and it truly established Saba Qamar as an actress of major league. Saba Qamar won the ‘Best Actress’ award at 17th annual PTV National Awards.
