29 Players to Attend Fitness Camp in Kakul Ahead of Busy Cricket Schedule

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that 29 players will participate in a rigorous fitness camp at Kakul, Abbottabad, in collaboration with the Pakistan Army. The camp, scheduled to commence from March 26 and conclude on April 8, aims to prepare the players for upcoming series and tournaments, including the home T20I series against New Zealand, the away T20I series against Ireland and England, and the forthcoming ICC T20 World Cup in USA and West Indies.

The selected players will report to the camp later today, where they will undergo intensive training under the supervision of experienced trainers and coaches. The camp will focus on team building and enhancing the physical and mental strength of the players, ensuring they are in optimal condition to face the challenges ahead.

Among the players attending the camp are prominent names such as Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Hasan Ali, along with emerging talents like Saim Ayub, Haseebullah, and Sahibzada Farhan.

PCB’s Director of International Cricket, Usman Wahla, expressed confidence in the camp’s ability to elevate the players’ fitness levels, agility, leadership, and strategic thinking. He emphasized the importance of thorough preparation to excel in the upcoming series and tournaments.

The fitness camp in Kakul holds significant importance as Pakistan gears up for a busy cricketing calendar, with crucial fixtures on both domestic and international fronts. The PCB is committed to providing its players with the best possible training and support to maximize their performance on the field.
