Here are five moments from last night’s episode that made us fall in love with Khuda aur Mohabbat.
- To begin with, the loving familial bond between Taimur and Sikandar’s family is the true depiction of every family. The love and warmth that their mother has for her sons is one that is sure to remind you of your mother. The way she complains about her son being away from her for too long, to telling him the house seems empty without him are all words that we have heard our mothers tell us on countless occasions. It is a true portrayal of a close-knit family that can’t go for long without each other. The relationship based on care and respect the two brothers have for each other deserves a special mention.
- Another heartfelt moment from last night’s episode is the one when Rida asks Farhad if she can call him ‘brother’. Brothers and sisters share a love for each other that’s unlike anything else. Rida puts that love into her words in the perfect way when she says she wanted a brother who would do as she wished and be stubborn with about little things, like sisters do. Farhad gladly says yes to her and tells her to go to bed since it was too late, like a brother would do.
- Naheed is desperately in love with Farhad and his sister is aware of that. She comes to meet Naheed and finds her sitting in a corner in a state of agony. She immediately asks about Farhad to find out he hasn’t returned. She says Farhad is occupied with his new job at a big house where he is surrounded by girls. There is anguish and sadness in her eyes when she says no one cares about girls who come from small neighborhoods and their small dreams. Your heart just goes out for her because you know there’s more disappointment waiting for her in the future.
- Farhad shows up to meet his friends in his boss’s car. His friends make hoots and cheers as he steps out of the swanky car. They go on to admire his clothes and how he looks different after getting employed. They tease him about organizing Mahi’s wedding if he doesn’t tell her how he feels soon. The scene perfectly captures the equation guys have with their friends. They know each other, encourage each other and want nothing but the best for their friends. Their faces light up when he tells them about treating them when he gets his salary is something most of us have shared with our beloved friends.
- Farhad has fallen head over heels for Mahi. His eyes keep looking for her, his heart beats faster when she says his name or when he watches her smile. He steals glances at her and makes sure he is there for her when she needs her. After plucking up the courage, he finds a moment to tell her about his feelings but she instantly dismisses him, saying she didn’t expect that from her. His face crumples up as he steps aside and watches her go. Later, his heart sinks as he watches her go.
