The brilliant storylines, exemplary productions, and huge expectations are what 7th Sky Entertainment is all about. It delivered the runaway hit of the year Dil-e-Gumshuda that ruled millions of hearts and TRP calculators simultaneously. If you haven’t got over Dil-e-Gumshuda and are still missing it, the production house is back to keep you hooked and entertained with another mega serial titled ‘Deewangi.’ Written by Sadia Akhtar and directed by Zeeshan Ahmed ‘Deewangi’ stars Danish Taimoor, Hiba Bukhari as the lead protagonists supported by Ali Abbas, Zoya Nasir, Mehmood Aslam, Nida Mumtaz, Ismat Zaidi, Noor Ul Hasan, Parveen Akbar, and Humera Bano.
The narrative opens with Nageen (Hiba Bukhari), a middle-class girl looking for a job to be independent and make ground for herself. She lives at her sister’s place; her brother in law Rashid (Noor Ul Hasan) is wicked and evil. He is always taunting her to earn as he couldn’t afford to bear her expenses. After many interviews, she finally succeeds in getting the job of a bus hostess. Nageen is finally happy as she gets the opportunity to support her family and explore various cities of the country.
The second track opens with Sultan Durrani (Danish Taimoor), a young, successful businessman hailing from a family of politicians. He’s a man of his words and has set rules for himself, which he strictly follows. His mother, Bejee (Ismat Zaidi), and uncle Mujadad (Mehmood Aslam) want him to join politics, but he wants to focus on his business. His cousin Narmeen (Zoya Nasir) doesn’t let go of any opportunity to express her love to Sultan as she wants to marry him. The episode ends on this high note when Sultan comes to know that his family has decided his marriage with Narmeen.
Deewangi has set the record straight; it’s engaging and relatable. It has a refreshing plotline and doesn’t offer a run of the mill theme with a predictable storyline and characters. The lead pair enacts their respective parts well. 7th Sky Entertainment deserves full credit for placing a project at par with the brilliance of the recently concluded Dil-e- Gumshuda, and it looks like it is going to be another fan-favorite.
