She started her career as an intern anchor at Public News in late 2020 and was promoted to an on-air anchor after just one month. She has since worked with several news networks, including City News Network and Nai Bat Media Network where she was a news anchor at their regional news channel – Lahore Rang.
When asked about her move to Islamabad, Iqra shared that it was not a difficult transition as she had spent time in the city with her family during her teenage years, making it feel like a second home. She expressed her satisfaction with her decision to join ABN News and highlighted the professionalism of the organization and the renowned names associated with it, both on and off-camera.
