Abrar Ahmed Out of T20I Series Against New Zealand Due to Fitness Concerns

In a surprising turn of events, spinner Abrar Ahmed has been sidelined from Pakistan’s upcoming five-match T20I series against New Zealand owing to fitness issues. The decision to release Ahmed from the squad stems from concerns about his fitness, prompting his return to Pakistan for a thorough rehabilitation stint scheduled at the National Cricket Academy.

As a replacement, left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz, previously released from the Test squad, has been swiftly drafted into the T20I setup. Nawaz will join forces with fellow bowlers Zaman Khan, Haris Rauf, and Usama Mir, all slated to undertake rigorous training sessions ahead of the impending T20I series against New Zealand.

The quartet of Nawaz, Khan, Rauf, and Mir will depart from Australia on 5th January, making their way to Auckland to gear up for the T20I showdown.
