The Acting High Commissioner of Malaysia, Deddy Faisal bin Ahmad Salleh on 30 August 2022 launched the Study In Malaysia Education Fair in Islamabad.
In his remarks, Deddy Faisal bin Ahmad Salleh stated that Malaysia has become one of the most preferred study destinations for Pakistani students as it is house of the world’s leading institutes. Offering a degree that is well-recognized globally, Malaysian universities rank in the world’s top universities and a total of 13 in the top 600 according to QS World University Rankings 2023. Based on QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022, 10 Malaysian programs were placed among the top 50 universities for the study of their academic subject.
The envoy added that Malaysia also offers affordability in many areas, from food, traveling, transportation, and tuition fees. The average total tuition fees per annum are approximately at US$ 4,400 for public universities & US$ 4,970 for private universities. Malaysia sits among one the lowest cost, in our Cost-of-Living Index is only 42.47.
Another consideration for choosing Malaysia as a study destination is that Malaysia has safe, peaceful, and vibrant communities. Malaysia is currently ranked 20th in the world’s most peaceful country based on the 2020 Global Security Index (GPI) report, providing you with a safe and secure environment for your study journey.
The Education Fair is hosted by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), a company under the purview of the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. It is also the principal body that manages the movement of international students in Malaysia, including facilitating visa processing for the benefit of the students who are aspiring for higher studies in Malaysia. As many as 9 leading universities of Malaysia have been invited to participate in the expo including the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), Imperium International College, Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia, UNITAR International University, UCSI University, Open University Malaysia (OUM), SEGi University and Colleges.
Education Malaysia Global Services is working hard to make Malaysia a global education hub of choice and ensure the welfare of all international students who want to study in Malaysia. EMGS plans to regularly hold education expo so that more and more students from Pakistan could benefit from study options in Malaysia.
