Actress Humaima Malick cheers on women’s cricket, advocates for education and family support

Actress Humaima Malick attended the Women’s League exhibition match at Pindi Cricket Stadium and expressed her pride in seeing Pakistani women playing cricket professionally.

“It’s a proud moment for me to see our women playing like this,” said Humaima. “The players must be learning and experiencing new things from these matches as 10 players from 7 different countries are here. We have amazing emerging talent like Fatima Sana, who is doing exceptionally well.”

Humaima also expressed her desire to see more women’s league matches in the future.

When asked about the importance of family support, she highlighted the significance of family being involved in players’ journeys. “Family support is very essential,” said Humaima. “PCB makes sure that the family of the players also travel with them, so when the organization is supporting the players, why not families?”

Regarding women’s empowerment, Humaima emphasized the role of education, stating that it is a power that nobody can steal from you. “Education is also very important for women’s empowerment,” said Humaima. “It is the power that nobody can steal from you. Education is a must for every girl, regardless of her profession.”

Humaima’s support for women’s cricket and advocacy for education and family support are crucial in empowering women and promoting gender equality in Pakistan.
