After ‘Dirilis: Ertugrul’, PM Imran Khan wants you to watch another Turkish drama

If you haven’t really watched the highly-recommended drama, Diriliş: Ertuğrul, yet, then what is it that you’ve really been doing this quarantine? Thanks to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s request to broadcast Urdu dubbed version of the show on PTV, it has been easier for the audience to watch the much-hyped show.

Now, the PTI leader, Faisal Javed Khan has shared another Turkish show after Diriliş: Ertuğrul for the youth to watch, which has been recommended by the PM.

“After Dirilis: Ertugrul PM Imran Khan wants Yunus Emre يونس امره (Aşkin Yolculuğu) to be telecast in Pakistan. Yunus Emre (the Dervish) was an Islamic poet, a mystic & a poor villager. Story of a great Sufi wholly dedicated to ALLAH & searching for unity. Yet another hit created by Mehmet Bozdag is a Journey of Transformation,” the senator shared on Twitter.

“Yunus Emre was well versed in mystical philosophy, esp that of the 13th-century poet and mystic Jalaluddin Rumi. Serial is a great example of meticulous attention to detail work,” he added.

Earlier, a video of the premiere interacting with the media went vital as he shared his two cents on why the Turkish show Diriliş: Ertuğrul is a must-watch for the youth of the country.

In a minute-and-a-half long clip, the PM commented, “We’ve always had content from Hollywood and Bollywood which was then being showcased here. A third end culture was being promoted. That’s why I want our youth to know the difference between our values and theirs.”
