Ahmed Daniyal and Shahnawaz Dahani Ruled Out of Zimbabwe ODI Series; Replacements Announced

Pakistan fast bowlers Ahmed Daniyal and Shahnawaz Dahani have been ruled out of the ongoing One-Day International series against Zimbabwe following injuries sustained during Sunday’s training session.

Ahmed suffered a hamstring injury, while Shahnawaz sustained a left ankle injury. Initial scans and clinical assessments confirmed their unavailability for the remainder of the series. Both players will return to Lahore today, where they will report to the National Cricket Academy for rehabilitation and adhere to prescribed recovery protocols.

Abbas Afridi and Jahandad Khan have been named as replacements and are set to arrive in Bulawayo in time for Thursday’s series decider. Both players are also part of the Pakistan squad for the upcoming T20I series, scheduled from 1 to 5 December.

Additionally, Aamir Jamal, who is already part of the ODI squad and featured in both matches, has been called up to replace Ahmed Daniyal in the T20I series.
