Akif Javed Replaces Haris Rauf in Tri-Nation ODI Series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that left-arm fast bowler Akif Javed has been called up as a replacement for Haris Rauf in the ongoing tri-nation ODI series. Haris Rauf sustained a muscular sprain in his lower chest wall during Pakistan’s match against New Zealand on Saturday and has been advised to rest.

The PCB has clarified that this replacement is only for the tri-nation series, as Haris Rauf is expected to regain full fitness ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Pakistan’s ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Fixtures:

  • vs New Zealand – Karachi, 19 February
  • vs India – Dubai, 23 February
  • vs Bangladesh – Rawalpindi, 27 February
