Alakh Nagri isn’t a hidden place in Lahore anymore

UNESECO, earlier this week, recognized Lahore as creative city for its rich heritage and literature. What better time it could be to open a place that is named after a fine work of Pakistani literature. Alakh Nagri i the newest eatery in Lahore that opened its doors today at food court opposite Paragon city gate two, Barki Road Lahore.

Alakh Nagri, the taste of organic food is the venture of renowned news anchor and TV presenter Aisha Yousaf and her sister Zara Yousaf. The eatery offers a mixed menu that includes, fast food, Chinese and desi karhahees, moreover, the tea at the place is their USP. With winters approaching this can be a fine tea place to discuss day, catch-up with friends or have some quite time in hidden place (the literal meaning of Alakh Nagri).

Talking about the venture news anchor and co founder of Alakh Nagri, Aisha Yousaf said:

“The credit of this venture goes to my sister Zara, who has been the actual driving force to make it happen from scratch. I am very happy to see this venture taking first step and many more to come for this new desi café in the city. I myself am teaoholic hence tea has been my prime focus in the menu. And tea of alakh Nagri is actually very good just as rest of the menu.”

Co founder of Alakh Nagri Zara Yousaf said:

“The name Alakh Nagri comes from the title of an iconic Urdu book by Mumtaz Mufti. It means a hidden place, but our Alakh Nagri is not a hidden place it is rather a place with the taste of organic food. The vicinity where we have opened is one of the growing areas in terms of entries and Alakh Nagri is happy to be part of it.”

Alakh Nagri has opened its doors today and the opening hours are 5pm to 2am everyday.
