Aleena Farooq is now part of Geo News as News Anchor

One of the most prominent news anchors and sports show hosts, Aleena Farooq has joined Geo News as the news anchor and part of the newscast team.

Aleena shared this news on her social media last month:

While talking to the team MediaSpring PK Aleena said,

“I am really excited to join this new place because Geo is great place! Especially the people, the working environment it makes you want to work!”

Aleena Farooq holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing & media from Lahore School of Economics (LSE). She started her broadcast journalism career in 2014 as a sports anchor and special correspondent for Dunya News. After spending over two years at Dunya News she moved to Karachi and joined Abbtakk TV in October 2016.

In February this year, Aleena Farooq joined Jung and Geo News Group as a news anchor and currently hosting the Pakistan Super League (PSL) special facebook live sessions for Geo News.
