Singer & Songwriter Ali Ashraf has released a patriotic single called “Mein Pakistan” featuring Haris Rao, via his YouTube channel. The emotional song is made to celebrate the creative spirit of Pakistan. The video pays tribute to legends of the Pakistani creative landscape.
Ali explains, “I have never written a song for Pakistan before. But this time I wanted to say something from the depth of my heart. And it all came pouring out like a story. From the moment the independence journey started, to the decades where we saw our land prosper and give us creative souls and legends like Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Madam Noor Jahan, Mehdi Hassan Khan Sahab, Amjad Islam Amjad, Ahmad Faraz, Parveen Shakir along with the souls that uplifted the spirit of Pakistan like Moin Akhtar, Tariq Aziz, Abdul Sattar Edhi and all the amazing souls who have contributed to the spirit of Pakistan and share the spirit of Pakistani.
Creativity should be celebrated and encouraged from the very beginning. Our land has a soul, and the creative community connects to it in a profound expressive manner.”
Written and composed by Ali Ashraf with music production and arrangement by Haris Rao, an Islamabad based music producer, Mein Pakistan is available on YouTube and all streaming platforms.
