T10 format is the fastest format in which decision-making must be done immediately. The bowler has to think before delivering every ball so that the best bowling can be done. Deccan Gladiator head coach Mushtaq Ahmed expressed his views during a virtual press conference. All teams are playing well in the tournament and every team has good players so it would be premature to declare one or two teams as favorites.
He said that the skill of spinners can change the course of the game because where a batter plays a vital role in a match, simarly spinners also appear to change the course of the match. In response to a question, Mushtaq Ahmed said the role of toss is very crucial because the ball stays down in the first matches but as soon as the lights are on the pitch becomes flat which makes it difficult to bowl.
In response to a question regarding the Deccan Gladiators team combination, Mushaq Ahmed said that Deccan Gladiator is a balanced team which has experienced players like Russell, Anwar Ali, Wahab Riaz, Tom Banton , Najeeb who can turn the match at any time. As a coach, it is important for me to keep the team united and try to improve the team performances. Our team’s performance is very good and it is hoped that our team will continue to play well.
