Allah hu Vs Baby Shark, is this really a topic of debate? ask Zarnish Khan

Leading Pakistani actress Zarnish Khan has shared her opinion about the whole debate of Baby Shark and modern-day mothers started after Abrar ul Haq criticizing modern-day mothers for making children listen to rhymes like Baby Shark rather than Kalima.

Actress Zarnish Khan wrote on her social media: “In my opinion, this debate has become nonsensical due to the logic of certain contemporary pseudo sages who decided to make a simple and noncontroversial statement a controversial one. Some initiated personal attacks and others stood on the sidelines clapping.”

“Their actions have led us to a point where we have to choose between which era’s mothers were better. Consider this absurdity, if we are to side with mothers who recited “Allah ho” to their now-adult children, then today’s mothers are wrong. However, if we choose mothers, who sing “baby shark” to their now-children, then their back-than mothers were wrong,” the actress added.

“In simple words, either your mother was wrong, or you (new mothers) are wrong. This divide is demeaning to all mothers and absolutely disrespectful, and the culprits are the ones who are making us choose and fueling the debate,” wrote the actress.

The actress expressed that people with influence should pick worthy topics:

“I have to say this to all the people who have influence, at least choose the worthy topics before you make a case to the public. Not everything is up for debate or requires discussion. Not everything is an attack on women’s rights, or in this case, motherhood.”

In the end, Zarnish said that she would prefer reciting Allah hu for her children, “If God bids it, I would love to recite ‘Allah hu’ to my children because my mother taught me the importance of those words, and i will continue her legacy in respect and memorabilia.”

Earlier, Zarnish Khan came out in support to defend Haq’s opinion. She suggested taking a point holistically before passing any judgment.

“If someone says something good, then give the devil his due. Let’s not dismiss what he said by dragging his entire life into the picture. If this continues, we’ll have to practice becoming deaf [to good advice],” she wrote on her Instagram story.
