Coveted couturier Ammara Khan hosted a private viewing for her recently showcased PLBW 2015 collection, “Memoirs from a Moonlit Garden”, at The Nishat Hotel in Lahore. The occasion was hotly attended by Ammara Khan patrons across the fashion fraternity, social set and media.
Memoirs from a Moonlit Garden is a collection inspired by Ammara Khan’s whimsical rendition of a memorable moonlit rendezvous, in the wild garden of a bygone September. Delicate wisteria and rose motifs cover yards of sheer lace and tulle, where embellishment is predominantly silver, strewn upon with sparkling crystals to recreate the magical atmosphere of the wild garden as it comes to life. Indeed Memoirs from a Moonlit Garden is a showcase of luxury and classic glamour, the quintessential essence of Ammara Khan.
With a childhood love for fashion, Ammara Khan pursued her dream to acquire formal education in fashion from the renowned Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) New York and Polimoda in Florence, Italy, specializing in evening wear. Upon her return to Pakistan in 2002, Ammara set up her atelier in Lahore. The year 2014 marked her debut presentation on the catwalk at the esteemed PFDC n L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week.
Currently Ammara Khan is available at her flagship Lahore studio.
