Another Morning Show Shake-Up: Suno Pakistan Sees Fourth Hosting Change

The Pakistani media landscape is abuzz with changes, and the latest surprise comes from Suno News. Their popular morning show, Suno Pakistan, has witnessed its fourth hosting change in its third year of operation. Uzair Malik, a seasoned news anchor, and Najaf Raja, a former Discover Pakistan morning show host, have taken the reins, replacing Sheherbano Awan and Azeem Rana.

Suno Pakistan’s hosting change comes as a surprise, especially considering the show’s remarkable growth under Sheherbano and Azeem’s leadership. Their departure raises questions about the rationale behind this sudden move.

Sheherbano Awan joined Suno Pakistan in September last year, following Hina Niazi’s departure to host ICC Cricket World Cup programming on Suno News and later Show Time with Ramiz. During their tenure, the Sheherbano-Azeem duo transformed the show’s fortunes as  ratings jumped from 24th to consistently ranking among the top six,  social media followers skyrocketed from 2,000 to over 450,000, and content became a monetized property, garnering millions of views

As Uzair Malik and Najaf Raja take the helm, they face the daunting task of filling the shoes left by Sheherbano and Azeem. We wish them the best in their new endeavor.

It is pertinent to mention that the show was initially supposed to be hosted by Ayesha Jehanzeb who was replaced by Hina Niazi even before the launch of the channel. Later, Hina Niazi and Jamil Sukher (who has left the media now after Suno News reportedly sacked him) launched the show.

Suno Pakistan’s hosting change has sparked curiosity, and only time will reveal the reasoning behind this move. As we bid farewell to @sheherbano_awan and @azeem_raana, we acknowledge their remarkable contributions to the show’s success.
