Pakistan’s javelin throw sensation Arshad Nadeem has secured his place in the final of the men’s javelin throw at the Stade de France with an outstanding throw of 86.59m in the qualifier. This season-best performance has elevated the hopes of an Olympic medal for Pakistan, following Nadeem’s commendable fifth-place finish at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

In the Group A qualification round, Germany’s Julian Weber emerged as the leader with a remarkable 87.76m throw. The reigning European Games champion’s single throw was sufficient to secure his spot in the final comfortably.

Kenya’s Julius Yego, a silver medalist at the Rio 2016 Olympics, delivered the second-best throw of the day with a season’s best of 85.97m. This performance highlights his continued prowess in the sport.

Czechia’s world number one, Jakub Vadlejch, secured an easy third-place spot in Group A with an 85.63m throw, while Finland’s Toni Keranen made an impressive Olympic debut with a personal and season-best throw of 85.27m, earning him a place in the final.
