Ayesha Zulfiqar Takes the Center Stage as Sports Show Host for Suno TV’s Asia Cup 2023 Special Edition

Ayesha Zulfiqar, the renowned news anchor and TV program host, has added yet another remarkable achievement to her illustrious career. The multifaceted talent, also known as Ayisha Noor, has taken on the role of Sports Show Host and Anchor for Suno TV’s highly popular Asia Cup 2023 special edition of “Sport On.” This move showcases her versatility as she steps into the world of sports journalism.

Ayesha Zulfiqar is co-hosting the show alongside the regular host, Irfan Zaheer, while former Pakistan cricket captain and ex-PCB chairman, Ramiz Raja, has joined the team as a sports expert, bringing a wealth of knowledge and insights to the show.

 

During an exclusive conversation with MediaSpringPK, Ayesha Zulfiqar provided insight into her new role, expressing, “Hosting a sports show is no small feat, especially for someone who isn’t a seasoned sports anchor. Nonetheless, it’s an ongoing learning experience, and thus far, I’ve not only relished the challenge but also acquired valuable insights, continually refining my skills with each episode.” In addition, she lavished praise upon Ramiz Raja, characterizing him as a “genuine gentleman” and “an exceedingly humble, down-to-earth individual.”

 

Ayesha Zulfiqar’s journey in the world of broadcasting began in 2008 when she started as a newscaster with City42, leveraging her master’s degree in political science. Over the years, she honed her skills and expanded her repertoire, gaining experience with various news outlets, including Waqt News of the Nawa i Waqt Group and Dunya News, where she was part of the newscasting team and hosted the show “Faislay Se Pehly.”

 

She briefly worked at Express News before returning to Dunya News, where she continued to make her mark in the industry. In 2017, she embarked on a new adventure by joining Neo TV, where she stayed for nearly ten months before moving to GNN in 2018.

 

Ayesha’s career path took a brief hiatus in 2019 when she took time off to focus on her family following the birth of her child. However, her passion for broadcasting led her back to the screen in 2021, this time as a Ramazan Transmission host on Neo TV’s regional news channel, Lahore Rang. Her talent and dedication quickly propelled her to a senior News Anchor position on the national channel, Neo TV.

 

During her second stint with Neo TV, Ayesha ventured into morning show hosting, stepping in as a stand-in host for Nabeeha Ejaz on “Neo Pakistan.” Her calm and composed demeanor, combined with her deep knowledge of current affairs, solidified her reputation as one of Pakistan’s finest news anchors, harking back to the golden era of electronic media.
