Chief Selector Pakistan Cricket Team, Inzamam-ul-Haq has announced the Pakistan Test Team for the First Test against West Indies. The announcement was made in a press conference at National Stadium Karachi.
The Team has been finalized by Chief Selector and the National Selection Committee after consultations with the Pakistan Team Head Coach and the Test Captain. Younis Khan has been excluded from the squad as he is not fully fit yet and still need up to 10 days of rest.
The selected 14 men are, Sami Aslam, Azhar Ali, Asad Shafiq, Baber Azam, Misbah Ul Haq (Captain), Sarfraz Ahmad (Wicket Keeper), Mohammad Nawaz, Yasir Shah, Zulfiqar Baber, Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Sohail Khan, Imran Khan Sr, and Rahat Ali.
The forthcoming Test match is going to be the 400th Test match of Pakistan Cricket Team.
Pakistan Team will play its first ever Day Night Test match from October 13-17 with the Pink Ball at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The second Test match will be played from October 21-25 at Abu Dhabi and third Test from October 30-November 3 at Sharjah.
