7th Sky Entertainment’s family-oriented drama serial Bandhay Ek Dour Se started as a light-hearted serial but things have now taken a serious turn since the last few weeks. The story progressed to some extent in the last couple of episodes but as far as Roshni-Umer-Maheen scenario is concerned, things are still stagnant. Maheen continues to take the blame for leaving Umer while Roshni continues to destroy Maheen’s image in front of everyone.
The past few episodes depicted how Roshni tries her best to make sure that Maheen does not return to her in-laws house. Roshni’s mother also messes up things for Maheen unintentionally since she shares with Maheen’s mother whatever Roshni has been feeding her regarding Umer and his family. After listening to that, Maheen’s mother in anger calls Umer’s mother and confronts her for treating Maheen badly not knowing that these are Roshni’s lies. She also scolds Umer for how he has let his family treat Maheen. All of this leaves Umer and her mother and grandmother in shock that Maheen can go to that extent.
On the other hand, Maheen tries to convince her mother that the reason behind leaving Umer’s house is not what she has been accusing Umer’s family for. She simply does not want to live with Umer. Maheen’s brother and Umer’s bhabhi have, however, sensed that something is wrong in Umer and Maheen’s relationship that both of them are hiding, but they are not able to deduce what it actually is. Maheen’s brother tries to talk to Maheen about it after he sees her weeping all night but she prefers not to share anything with him. Meanwhile, Umer’s bhabhi also tries to make Umer realize that even though he does not accept it but he misses Maheen around him and is hurt after she left him. Umer is still in denial and keeps meeting Roshni, and they talk about how it was difficult for Umer to convince his parents for his second marriage.
After Umer is not successful in bringing Maheen back, his parents go to talk to her and her mother but unfortunately meet a serious accident on the way. They are badly hurt but by the end of the episode, we are shown that they survive and Maheen and Umer stay with Umer’s mother and father respectively for the night.
Produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, Bandhay Ek Dour Se has been an extremely intriguing watch so far. The story has now entered an important phase but for things to progress either Maheen has to spill the beans or someone has to somehow find out about Umer and Roshni’s relationship. Maheen’s brother sees Roshni with Umer and questions their frequent meetings according to the teaser of the next episode, but we will have to wait for the upcoming episodes to find out how the story unfolds.
