Sanam Jung is a is a well-known name now she has proved herself as an all-rounder, starting her career as a VJ on Play TV (and then another sting at VJ at AAG TV) and then branching out to modeling, then acting and now morning show hosting too she has proved that she is super talented. Moreover, she will soon be seen in a movie too… she is doing the modern version of Molla Jutt… remember???

Sanam Jung was born on 28th October 1988, therefore, it marks her birthday today. So, as our ‘Birthday Special’ we have made a list of some interesting you did not (or need to) know about Sanam Jung.

1.      An MBA, a Teacher, Banker, and a Business Manager

Sanam Jung studied at St. Michael’s and did her MBA from CBM. She worked as a teacher, a banker and a Country Business Manager for an MNC before joining showbiz.

2.      She was a model before becoming a VJ

While she was in her A-levels she got to know about Nabila’s talent agency Zinc which was giving a free makeover and a photoshoot. Sanam did visit Zinc for makeover and shoot which lead to her receiving call from an agency for a TV commercial. Upon getting encouragement from her parents she did her first TVC. She got her first offer to work as a VJ when she was in her BBA’s first year.

3.      Daddy’s Little Girl

She loves and respects her father a lot and cannot refuse to him no matter what. That makes this daddy’s girl an obedient daughter.

4.      Cannot travel alone

Sanam takes her mother or sister with her on trips all the times. As a matter of fact she many times paid her sister to go with her as she cannot travel alone. She feels comfortable shooting indoor and enjoys it.

5.      National Level Swimming Championship

Sanam Jung is an incredible swimmer and she has taken part in various national level swimming championships.

6.      Cooking skills

Sanam Jung has no idea how to cook but she is a complete pro in making tea and boiled eggs.

7.      Bad at keeping secrets

She simply cannot keep a secret, in one of her interview she said,

“I am very bad at keeping secrets. If someone cautions me to not to tell anyone I nod in affirmative at that time but I spill that secret out in no time.”

8.      Reading habits

Sanam Jung does not like reading at all she almost hate reading drama scripts. In one of her interview she said,

“I can’t remember dialogues at all and I’ve ruined countless takes because I’ve mixed up my lines.”

9.      Director of Dil-e-Muztar rejected her for the role of Sila

Dil-e-Muztar director Roomi vetoed Sanam for the role of Sila. She auditioned for the role but later she was called by Nina from Momina Duraid Productions and she was told that director Roomi does not want a new actress for the role. A few weeks later Nina called her again to audition for the very same role. She did not go for the auditions for the second time however upon knowing that Roomi was no longer directing Dil-e-Muztar she went for the auditions and eventually Shahzad Kashmiri made his directorial debut and Sanam Jung made her acting debut with the same TV serial

10. Youngest morning show of Pakistan

Guess what? Sanam Jung is the youngest female morning show host in Pakistani media industry. She was only 24 years old when she started hosting morning shows. Her first sting of hosting a morning show was as an interim morning show host at Geo for their Utho Jago Pakistan while Shaista Lodhi was on leave.
