Brave Combat Federation and Salman Iqbal of ARY, Rockville, MRG enter into partnership in Pakistan

The fastest growing mixed martial arts organization in the world, Brave Combat Federation has entered into a partnership with ARY, House of Rockville Pvt Ltd and MRG Pvt Ltd to form the company Brave Pakistan Pvt Ltd. This initiative will bring Brave Combat Federation to Pakistan marking the first International Mixed Martial Arts event to take place in the nation. The event will also become the most broadcasted combat sports event till date in Pakistan receiving global coverage. Salman Iqbal representing ARY, Saad Ali Khan representing House of Rockville, Jahangir Riaz, CEO of GreenHill Sports and Dewan Adil representing MRG Pvt Ltd signed the partnership agreement with Mohammed Shahid, President of Brave Combat Federation who was accompanied by Faisal Rehman.

Mohammed Shahid, President of the Brave Combat Federation, stated, “I am pleased to announce our partnership with ARY. The partnership will ensure to direct our collective synergies towards developing the sport of Mixed Martial Arts in Pakistan. This initiative will create economic opportunities and to strengthen the relation between the two nations. We are thrilled to partner with ARY in Pakistan and this mark a new chapter for sports media initiatives in Pakistan”

 

Brave Pakistan Pvt Ltd will initiate operations in Pakistan by hosting the first edition of the event on 27th October at the Nistar Sports Complex in Lahore. Brave Pakistan Pvt Ltd will organise nationwide tryouts on a regular basis for Brave Combat Federation to support the initiatives for talent development in Pakistan. Brave Pakistan Pvt will manage the initiatives and become the master franchise holder for Brave MMA Gyms, Brave Nutrition and Brave Apparel. Salman Iqbal from ARY has been elected as the Chairman of the Board of Brave Pakistan Pvt Ltd and Abrar Ali Khan from Rockville will hold the role of the CEO. Salman Iqbal, the Founder and President of ARY Digital Network, has been at the forefront of promoting sports in Pakistan during the past fews years. He has played a major role in making Pakistan Super League one of the biggest T20 cricket franchises of the world. Salman Iqbal owns the ‘Karachi Kings’ team in the PSL and also ARY Digital Network the biggest television network in Pakistan.

 

On the occasion Mr. Salman Iqbal said, “Its is one of our group’s objectives to promote sports in Pakistan and take Pakistani sports to international levels, Brave Pakistan is also a step in the same direction where we will bring out the talent in this amazing sport and create opportunities for local athletes on an international level”. In 2019-20, Brave Pakistan Pvt Ltd will open franchises for teams across Pakistan to compete in mixed martial arts events. The teams will be franchised and will be allocated through auction of teams as well as the athletes.

 

Brave Combat Federation is found by His Highness Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and the President of Bahrain Athletics Association. Brave Combat Federation has hosted events in Bahrain, Brazil, UAE, India, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Jordan, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Morocco, and Colombia featuring over 250 athletes representing over 45 nations.
