Pakistan’s all-rounder and foremer captain Shoaib Malik has announced his retirement from Test cricket.
He tweeted:
I have decided to retire from Test Cricket, will post my retirement blog soon. Please remember me in your Duas, love you all & thank you 💪🏼

Shoib Malik who returned to the Test team after five years for the series against England, during this series he scored his career-best 245 in the first innings of first test, however, performed poorly in the remaining innings in the test series.
In an expressive press conference, the Shoaib Malik said,
“I want to spend more time with my family and focus on the 2019 World Cup. I am retiring from Test cricket after this match. The reason of my retirement from Test is not because of slump in form but it’s because I want to give more time to my family and concentrate on the 2019 World Cup. I realised today that this is the right time to leave the place for youngsters and Pakistan have many talented players who can fill in.”
