Cape Town Samp Army Dominate Durban Qalandars, Maintain Top Spot On Points Table

Cape Town Samp Army cruised to a 4-wicket victory over Durban Qalandars in Harare on Tuesday, with Karim Janat’s unbeaten 48 leading the way.

The Qalandars were restricted to 91 for 5 after being put in to bat, with Janat taking 2 for 17.

In reply, the Samp Army lost two early wickets but Janat held firm, hitting five sixes and two fours in his 48-ball innings.

The Samp Army reached their target with an over to spare, sealing their fourth consecutive victory and maintaining their position at the top of the points table.

Karim Janat Top Scores In Match

Karim Janat was the star of the show for the Samp Army, scoring 48 not out off 48 balls.

Janat hit five sixes and two fours in his innings, and was particularly dominant in the final over, hitting 16 runs to seal the victory.

Janat’s innings was a timely one, coming after he had struggled for form in recent matches.

The 22-year-old is now the Samp Army’s leading run-scorer in the tournament, with 160 runs from six matches.

Durban Qalandars Fall Short

The Qalandars were unable to build on a solid start after being put in to bat.

Hazratullah Zazai top-scored for the Qalandars with 43, but he received little support from the other batsmen.

The Qalandars’ bowlers also struggled, with only Daryn Dupavillon and Tendai Chatara taking wickets.

The Samp Army’s victory was their fourth in a row, and it has put them in a strong position at the top of the points table.

The Qalandars, on the other hand, will need to improve if they want to challenge for the title.
