Chris Gayle and Kevin Pietersen are famous for hitting shots that reach the stands more often than not. So when the West Indian opener took on Kevin Pietersen in a friendly battle for the biggest six recently, the ball indeed was the bloodiest casualty.
Smashed into smithereens, both Gayle and Pietersen decimated the ball to register the longest six. And while not taking strike, the two engaged in a humorous banter to mock each other down.
Both batsmen will be playing for opposing teams in the Caribbean Premier League T20. While Gayle will play for Jamaica Tallawahs along with other international stars like Mahela Jayawardene and Daniel Vettori, Pietersen will battle for St Lucia Zouks which is captained by Darren Sammy and also has Ross Taylor in its ranks.
