Claire Polosak to Officiate in Pakistan vs. West Indies Women’s Cricket Series

Australia’s Claire Polosak, renowned for breaking barriers in cricket officiating, is set to make history once again as she takes on-field umpiring duties in all eight white-ball matches between Pakistan and West Indies women’s cricket teams. The series, comprising three ODIs and five T20Is, is scheduled to be held at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi from April 18 to May 3.

Polosak’s inclusion in the officiating panel underscores the commitment to diversity and inclusion in cricket. She will be joined by a team of experienced umpires and match referees, ensuring the smooth conduct of the matches.

In the ODI series, Ali Naqvi, a former Test batter and member of the PCB and ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, will lead the playing control team, while Muhammad Javed, another distinguished official, will oversee the T20I series.

The on-field umpires for the ODI series will include Abdul Moqeet, Imran Jawed, and Nasir Hussain, all part of the PCB Elite Panel of Umpires, with Saleema Imtiaz and Humairah Farah serving as reserve umpires.

For the T20I series, Polosak will be joined by Faisal Afridi, Farooq Ali Khan, and Tariq Rasheed from the PCB Elite Panel of Umpires, with Afia Amin, Humairah, and Saleema as reserve umpires.

The series promises to be a thrilling encounter between two competitive teams, and with a distinguished officiating team in place, fans can expect fair and exciting cricket action.
