Controversy Surrounding “Tere Bina Main Nahi” Drama Sparks Allegations of Plagiarism

The popular Ary Digital drama “Tere Bina Main Nahi,” written by Maha Malik and directed by Ali Murad Saeed, has recently faced criticism and controversy among its fanbase. The latest episode of the drama has sparked accusations of plagiarism, with fans claiming that the storyline has been directly copied from the Bollywood movie Aitraaz.

Fans took to social media to express their discontent, pointing out the striking similarities between “Tere Bina Main Nahi” and Aitraaz. It should be noted that Aitraaz itself was a remake of the Hollywood film Disclosure, featuring renowned Hollywood actress Demi Moore. The Indian adaptation of Disclosure starred popular actors such as Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, and Kareena Kapoor.

In “Tere Bina Main Nahi,” Sonya Hussyn portrays the character of Shahzad Sheikh’s fiancée, and their relationship faces a turbulent breakup, closely resembling the plot of Aitraaz. Both stories revolve around the reunion of former lovers after a long separation.

Cinema enthusiasts and drama fans quickly noticed these similarities and drew connections between “Tere Bina Main Nahi” and the well-known films Aitraaz and Disclosure. Many viewers, both in India and Pakistan, were already familiar with Aitraaz but unaware that it had been adapted from Disclosure. Some fans even suggested that the drama should be titled “Aitraaz 2” due to the strong resemblances.

The allegations of plagiarism have stirred up a wave of concern among fans, who are demanding an explanation from the production team behind “Tere Bina Main Nahi.” It remains to be seen how the drama’s creators will respond to these accusations and whether they will address the concerns raised by the viewers.
