Deewangi Episode 16 in Review: Hiba Bukhari and Ali Abbas steal the show with their chemistry

Produced by 7th Sky Entertainment, written by Sadia Akhter, and directed by Zeeshan Ahmed, Deewangi is one of those dramas these days that people wait anxiously for every week. Starring Hiba Bukhari and Danish Taimoor in lead roles and Ali Abbas and Zoya Nasir in pivotal roles, Deewangi’s intense and unique story is loved by all the drama enthusiasts.

Last night’s episode of Deewangi mainly focused on Nageen (played by Hiba Bukhari) and Haroon (played by Ali Abbas) and their interactions. Nageen finally got a job in Haroon’s office as a receptionist after Haroon recommended her to his boss. This helped Nageen to know Haroon better and she (and the viewers) found out more details about him and his past. Haroon’s interest in Nageen is growing with each passing day and he confesses to his sister that he likes Nageen and sees her as his life partner.

On the other hand, Sultan and Narmeen are back from their honeymoon and Sultan is unable to forget the bitter memories associated with Nageen. He finds it difficult to focus on his business and every now and then we see him arguing with Narmeen over something or the other.

Overall it was a decent episode with some fantastic performances. Ali Abbas nails the character of easy-going happy-go-lucky Haroon, who hides his heartbreak and sufferings and moves on with a smile. He is so comfortable in that role that he makes Haroon’s scenes a treat to watch and relate to. Hiba Bukhari also makes it easy to connect with and understand the emotional turmoil and sufferings that Nageen is going through. Zoya Nasir also justifies her role as a strong-headed Narmeen.

The preview of the next episode suggests some crucial developments, which makes us excitedly look forward to Deewangi’s new episode next Wednesday.
