Deewangi’s latest episode focused on Nageen and Haroon’s life after marriage. We get to see how the two of them start getting used to the fact that their wishes have come true, that they ended up with each other, but that’s not all there is to it. Nageen’s problems didn’t magically disappear; they are still there. The same is the case with Haroon, who is torn between Nageen and his family.
Haroon’s mother doesn’t like Nageen and makes sure to make her life a living hell. Rida tells her mother that she is lucky to have found such an obedient daughter in law who listens quietly to everything she says, but their mother says she doesn’t buy any of it. She says Nageen is cunning, and it’s just a ruse to look innocent in front of Haroon.
Nageen asks Haroon to rejoin his work since his mother has a problem with that too. She tells him that he needs to start paying off the massive loan that he took for his marriage, which is why they should also cancel their honeymoon.
In one scene, Haroon’s mother walks in the kitchen when he and Nageen are holding hands. She again finds a reason to insult Nageen rather sternly. Nageen tells Haroon that they should start a family, but he avoids the topic much to Nageen’s surprise.
A few days later, Haroon and Nageen go out to celebrate his payday. Nageen brings up the topic of having kids again. He tells her that he needs some time to pay off his loans and to become successful, so he provides for his kids.
On the other hand, things remain the same between Narmeen and Shahjahan. Their differences and opinions continue to clash with each other. Narmeen tells him that she knows he is looking for something that he has lost, but Shahjahan dismisses her.
The episode was the right way to show how there will always be a bit of sadness for Nageen, even if she gets all the happiness in the world. It will be interesting to see whether things will get better for her in the future. Deewangi airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm on Geo TV.
