Digital is different experience and TV is different: Armala Hassan talks about her web-show hosting debut

Lady of many talents Armala Hassan has made a successful debut of web-show hositing with Sports Fever 360’s presentation “Whats Going On” that is streamed live on digital platforms. Whats Going On is a chat show where Armala Hassan is joined by two sports journalists, presenters, commentators or anchors.

It is pertinent to mention here that Armala started her TV hosting career with hosting a sports show. In 2016 she got her first claim to fame when she hosted World T20 special show for Samaa along with former Pakistan captain and World Cup winner Aamer Sohail. 

While talking to MediaSpringPK Armala said:

“It feels very good to be back in a sports based show. Now I have an opportunity to discuss sports with people who are well versed with the genre.”

Talking about her experience with a digital show the former morning show host said:

“TV is a different experience and digital is a totally different experience. But at this time overall scenario is not suitable because of COVID-19, unfortunately, now in this time rather than sit home digital platforms give us opportunity to do constructive work. Hosting a show is my thing actually so I think that I have started a good thing”

 

Armala Hasan thinks that it is the suitable time top start such digital venture. “we have a break from work and overall everything has stopped, so in this time it’s a great opportunity. I am availing it and I am actually loving it,” said the model and TV host.

Earlier this year Armala also made her cricket broadcast debut as pitch side anchor with Pakistan Shaheens vs MCC game. Talking about her experience with Sports Fever 360 Armala said:

“The experience with SportsFever360 has been very good. The people are very professional and I enjoy working with them. I must thank them for the opportunity, in fact my sports broadcast debut also happened with them. Also a big thanks to MediaSpringPK too who helped me to get that opportunity.”

Armala Hassan started her career in 2014 as intern reporter at Samaa. In 2016 she joined Dunya News network and hosted morning show, Jago Lahore for Lahore News. Armala remained face of the show for almost two years and left the network in 2019.

Armala did her MSC in communication studies and went to United States in 2018 for IVLP ( international visitors leadership program) to represent Pakistan under the idea of Increasing the Capacity of women journalists in Pakistan.
