DUNK is finally coming to an end as the second last episode had just aired yesterday. It starts where Saira (Yasra Rizvi) continues to narrate the tragic story of her husband and the fake allegations on him to the court and explains how broken and scattered things in a room are what we base as evidence for harassment.
She also mentions how the society tarnishes a woman based on her husband’s false allegation even after he had committed suicide which is why she was too occupied taking care of her daughter, which had not given her time to fight against the allegations against her husband. At last she states how she supports fighting for women who have gone through harassment but with court investigation for some cases like the one on her husband and how the fight is about right and wrong but not female and male.
On the other hand, our most favorite Safeer as in Fahad Sheikh tells his father how he had no other choice than to take this decision and how he didn’t want to be more used against his brother and that what he did was the correct decision and he does not regret it. Fahad’s intense expressions had yet again glorified the scene. He goes on by expressing sorrow to his mother by apologizing for doubting her upbringing and for hurting her.
After which Safeer visits his brother Haider (Bilal Abbas) and apologizes to him as well and mentions how gracefully he didn’t even bother to justify or explain that he was not wrong all along and yet Safeer stood against him all this time, which has now made him realize and has made him a culprit in his own eyes. He states how even if Haider forgives Safeer, he still won’t ever forgive himself to which listening to, Haider suddenly hugs Safeer. This is a very emotional moment for the audience to witness. Safeer also apologizes to Manal (Azekah Daniel) and compliments on how lucky Haider is to have a wife like her. Fahad Sheikh’s astounding and sensational expressions had us going all crazy over him once again!
The episode carries on by Manal paying a visit to Saira, thanking her for appearing in the court. After which, there’s a scene where Amal’s father shows disappointment towards Safeer, to which Safeer replies that his anger is justified but what he himself had done, he does not regret that. Safeer leaves with remorseful expressions. The episode ends with Haider taking Amal to a barren unknown place, and locks her up till night to threaten and scare her, and only informs his friend. While on the way Manal states how she will carry on tarnishing his image.
This episode leaves us in suspense and we can’t wait to see what happens in the last episode!
