Eight Teams Set for Thrilling Knockout Stage in National T20 Cup 2024-25

The National T20 Cup 2024-25 has reached its electrifying knockout stage, with eight teams securing their spots in the quarter-finals. Abbottabad, Faisalabad, defending champions Karachi Whites, Lahore Blues, Lahore Whites, Multan, Peshawar, and Sialkot will battle it out for the coveted title in a series of high-stakes matches scheduled from 23 to 27 March.

The 32-match group stage concluded on Friday night, with the top two teams from each of the four groups advancing to the knockout phase. The quarter-finals will be played as double-headers on 23 and 24 March at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, followed by the semi-finals on 26 March and the final on 27 March.

Standout Performances in the Group Stage
Peshawar’s Sahibzada Farhan emerged as the tournament’s leading run-scorer, amassing a staggering 414 runs in just four games, including two centuries and two half-centuries. Karachi Blues’ Abdullah Fazal (231 runs) and Lahore Whites’ Mohammad Faiq (224 runs), the other centurions in the tournament, follow closely on the list.

On the bowling front, Sialkot’s Hasan Ali leads the pack with nine wickets in three matches, while Islamabad’s Arsal Sheikh is close behind with eight scalps. Hussain Talat, Usama Mir, Mohammad Ismail, Kamran Afzal, and Mohammad Hamza have also impressed, each claiming seven wickets in the group stage.

The knockout stage kicks off on Sunday, 23 March, with Lahore Whites taking on Abbottabad, followed by defending champions Karachi Whites facing Multan. On Monday, 24 March, Faisalabad will clash with Peshawar, while Sialkot will lock horns with Lahore Blues.
