News anchor and TV host Syeda Ayesha Naz has parted ways with Dunya TV Network. Ayesha has been part of Dunya News for nearly nine years. She was absent from the screen and her show Think Tank last week and initially it was said that her being under the weather is causing the absence. However, yesterday Ayesha Naz confirmed that she has left Dunya News, through her social media.
Ayesha wrote:
“This was really heart wrenching for me to announce that my journey with Dunya News ends here.”
She further stated:
“I share it with all ‘MY PEOPLE’ with a heavy heart that I won’t be a part of Dunya News anymore & indeed I am in debt to the abundance of love, respect & care you all showered upon me. I was indeed a nobody till you acknowledged my skills & encouraged me to conquer many fronts.”
Upon contacting Ayesha confirmed that she has no plans to join any channel for now as she is taking a break from the screen. She also wrote this in her post:
“If you are concerned about my future endeavours then I will definitely be on a break to have some breathing space after 16 years of media service.”
Syeda Aysha Naz was not only a key part of Dunya’s news anchoring team but also various transmissions for the channel. She has been known for her calm composed style of hosting the panel based news analysis and current affairs show, Think Tank.
Ayesha also hosted Voice of Dunya on Dunya News a show for UK USA beam initially comprising of Lord Nazir Ahmad and Doctor Moeed Peerzaada.
Hailing from Mansehra, Syeda Aesha Naz holds a masters degree in Mass Communication from the University of the Punjab. In her over 16-year long career, other than her last channel – Dunya News, she has worked in some top TV channels such as Waqt News and Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV).
