News anchor turned programme host Fara Iqrar, formerly known as Fara Yousaf, is set to return to television screens as the host of GNN’s Ramazan transmission – Ramazan Kareem. While talking to MediaSpringPk, Fara revealed that after Samaa TV shelved her program in 2022, she had multiple offers from various channels but was unable to join any full-time due to her father’s illness.

“I had to attend to him, and taking up a full-time job would have been difficult for me,” Fara said. “This opportunity of hosting Ramazan Transmission came in at just the right time when I am also able to take up such projects and work full-time on such TV programs.”

Fara acknowledged the responsibility that comes with hosting a Ramazan transmission, which will feature religious scholars and attract a large viewership. “This is going to be my first time managing and hosting an entire Ramazan transmission this year, and it’s a huge responsibility,” she said. “I am excited and motivated about it and need to deliver my best on this transmission. I hope and pray that it is a successful Ramazan transmission.”

She also expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity to broaden her knowledge of Deen-e-Islam, saying, “I myself am a student of Deen-e-Islam, and this show will be an opportunity for me to explore more about this huge subject. This transmission, I hope, will give me that heartfelt peace.”

Fara’s return to television has been highly anticipated by her fans, who have missed seeing her on screen. “Yes, I missed the screen at times,” Fara admitted. “Especially when you have been doing TV programs that directly relate to the masses, then it is hard to not miss the TV screen, especially when so much has been happening in the country since last year.”

Fara hopes that her return to television will not be limited to the Ramazan transmission, and that viewers will see her after Eid as well. “Where, when and how, that I will reveal in due course Insh Allah,” she said.

With Fara’s return to the TV screen, her fans are excited to see her back in action and eagerly anticipating her upcoming Ramazan transmission on GNN.
