In a rain-curtailed encounter at Pindi Cricket Stadium, Lahore Blues posted a challenging total of 256-5 in their allotted 45 overs. Hussain Talat’s unbeaten 69 and Umar Siddiq’s half-century propelled Lahore Blues. Rawalpindi’s Kashif Ali impressed with the ball, claiming two wickets.
Rawalpindi chased down the target with three wickets in hand, powered by an outstanding century from Abdul Faseeh (114). Umair Masood (44) and Raza-ul-Mustafa (37 not out) provided crucial support. Despite Umaid Asif’s three-wicket haul for Lahore Blues, Rawalpindi secured a hard-fought win.
FATA vs. Faisalabad: Mohammad Salman Khan Jnr Guides FATA to Victory
In a gripping contest at Mirpur Cricket Stadium, Faisalabad set a target of 230 for FATA after scoring 229-8 in 45 overs. Captain Asif Ali’s brilliant 78 was the standout performance, supported by Bilal Mehdi’s 45. Shahid Aziz and Khushdil Shah picked up two wickets each for FATA.
FATA chased down the target in the final over, reaching 231-7 in 44.2 overs. Mohammad Salman Khan Jnr’s half-century (66) played a pivotal role, while Mohammad Sarwar Afridi contributed with a crucial 44. Khurram Shahzad starred with the ball, securing a four-wicket haul for Faisalabad.
Matches Abandoned Due to Rain: Multan vs. Karachi Whites and Peshawar vs. Lahore Whites
Unfavorable weather conditions led to the abandonment of two matches at Shoaib Akhtar Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi, and Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, respectively. The clashes between Multan and Karachi Whites, as well as Peshawar and Lahore Whites, were unable to proceed, leaving fans and teams awaiting future fixtures in the Pakistan Cup.
