Fourth episode of Iftar Mulaqaat hosted by Hina Khawaja Bayat, Fatima Effendi was the guest.
Hina Bayat has been out of the hosting scene for quite a while and this is her comeback. none of this was obvious from her performance. She is conversing beautifully with the veteran actors as well somebody as young as Fatima, almost getting along with them as peers.
When we corned Fatima and asked her about her views about doing some bold roles, she mentioned that she was hesitant to play a part in anything that’s considered bold.
“I’m not the person for bold roles, I’d rather be intrigued in the depth of the character.”
When asked, her preferences about the dramas she acts in she responded:
“I’m more interested in characters with depth, in representing that depth”
The actress was very frank when it came to her family’s affiliations with the media industry.
Fatima was a child actress, her debut drama aired in 2001, and since then she has swiftly climbed up the ladder to success. Her mother and her sister were associated with media, and that’s where this curiosity for being a part of this industry came from.
“My mother was a newscaster in PTV and she whole heartedly supported me through this”
Not only that, but her grandfather was journalist, now we know her maternal side of the family is where she got her acting skills from, perhaps there are some designers from her father’s side?
