Renowned news anchor and the former face of Bol News Mahvish Tabassum who is now an Australia-based vlogger at Independent Urdu has also stepped into web show hosting as she becomes a part of Mubashir Luqman Official YouTube Channel, where she is hosting the flagship show of the digital channel.
She made this announcement on her social media and shared the link to her first show with Mubashir Luqman.

While speaking to MeiaSpring Pk, Mahvish Tabassum said:
“I miss being part of electronic media to the bits. I must say there is no alternative to Electronic media, however, it is era of social and digital media but still the kind of recognition it gives is unprecedented. It is addictive, I would say. When I was leaving Pakistan and decided to quit Pakistani media, I was unsure of what would future offer to me. Of course leaving it all of a sudden is not easy especially when one has worked on something with nothing but passion.
“Hosting show with a hugely popular broadcast journlaist and analyst like Mubashir Luqman is quite an opportunity. And I am glad that I got this opportunity to stay relevent with my Pakistani viewers and audiance and stay connected with pakistan’s current affairs. I have hosted similar shows on Capital TV and Bol News so it is not something very dicult for me, the only difference is that for this show both anaylist and anchor/host are connected over video link and are based in remote locations.”
Talking about her future plans Mahvish said, “My aim, for now, is to resume news anchoring but this time with a TV channel based in Australia. Anchoring and producing radio shows is helping me to improve my language skill and gives me enough confidence that I would like to join a national level TV channel as a news anchor and presenter.”
Earlier this year Mahvish, moved to Australia and took a break from media. However, she joined Independent Urdu in May 2022. She is also part of Youth Jam Radio, Perth as a news anchor and producer.

Mahvish has been part of the Pakistani media industry for ten years. Her last channel was Bol News which she joined in 2019 as a news anchor. She also hosted various transmissions and shows for the channel including a month-long Ramzan transmission in 2021.
Before joining Bol News, Mahvish remained an integral part of ARY News for two years as a news anchor.
As per our sources, Mahvish’s decision of joining Bol is purely for the sake of career growth. During her career, Mahvish served at Dawn News and had a brief stint at 92 News as well. Her shot to fame was her time at Capital TV where she not only did news anchoring but also hosted shows with big names such as Murtaza Sulangi and Khshnood Ali Khan.
