Former Pakistan captain and head coach Waqar Younis has accepted a new job as he is ready to commentate in this year’s edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
According to media reports, the 44-year-old former fast bowler had penned a deal with Indian TV channel Sony to 9th season of IPL.
Waqar had stepped down from the post of the head coach after Pakistan’s humiliating exit from the World T20 at the group stage.
The former bowler appeared in 87 Tests and 262 ODIs for Pakistan, where he claimed a total of 789 international wickets. He was the youngest test captain of Pakistan, and fastest to take 200 international wickets.
In past also Waqar Younis has been part of IPL as he was coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2013 edition of IPL.
