Former Pakistani TV actress Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh is now a Scottish MP, she won over two constituencies in Scotland in the 2015 UK elections. According to the report of UK-based newspaper The Courier Tasmina managed to get 26,620 votes, and won with a clear majority.
Tasmina had been part of many drama serials including the well-received Aansoo and Des Pardes. After taking retirement form her acting career Tasmina started to manage a women’s right group in Scotland and became actively involved in UK politics. She is also a regular columnist in Scotland’s daily newspaper, The National.
