Former Special Assistant to PM Fahd Husain Joins PNN as President

Former special assistant to the Prime Minister, Fahd Husain, has returned to journalism and joined Pakistan News Network (PNN) as its president. Husain had quit his illustrious career in journalism last year to serve as a special assistant to the Prime Minister. However, his formal return to journalism was announced by PNN on Wednesday.

Before joining the public office, Husain had worked as a resident editor of Dawn in Islamabad. He had also held various leadership positions in the media industry, such as executive editor of The Express Tribune, executive director of news at Express News Television, and editor of The Nation and The News.

Husain has an impressive career spanning over three decades, having begun his journey at The Muslim in 1991. He has also worked as an anchor for several shows on Pakistan Television (PTV) in the 1990s and at CBS News in New York. He was the anchor of Pakistan’s first independent English talk show on Geo TV and had also served as the director of international affairs at the same network.

Husain’s contribution to the Pakistani media industry includes spearheading the launch of three channels in Pakistan, including Express News, Express 24/7, and Capital TV. With his return to journalism, the industry is sure to benefit from his vast experience and knowledge.

Husain’s decision to return to journalism has been greeted with enthusiasm by his colleagues and fans. It remains to be seen what new projects and ideas he brings to the table at PNN as its president.
