Dekhawa a short series currently being broadcast on GEO Television Network as part of its special Ehsas Ramzan Transmission highlights various societal and religious repercussions of pretentiousness, showing-off and posturing in its stand-alone episodes. The idea behind this powerful short series is to instill a complete understanding of the principles of empathy and kindness.
Produced under the banner of 7Th Sky Entertainment by the dynamic duo Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi, Dekhawa is making waves already because of its unique content and the simple life lessons and message each episode gives out to its viewers.
Penned by some of the most talented writers from our industry namely Mansoor Saeed, Amber Azhar, Samina Ejaz, Nabeela Raja, Almas Ul Ain, Shabnam Sani, Aamra Shahid, Rabia Mohsin, Ramla Salma and Faraz Mazaher , these stories portray the ills of society and societal norms that have destroyed our true system and culture, in the hope that through these stories some or little impact might be created inorder to improve these practices on a mass level be it education, religion, gender discrimination or upbringing of the kids in the society.
For instance the 1st episode Beti shows one of the most common misdoing by parents and elders in our society ( discrimination between a daughter and a son). It is said in the Quran that all human beings are equal irrespective of their gender and caste and even the Prophet’s Ahadith highlights the fact that education is an equal right for both daughter and son, then why does our society only focus on education of the son and neglects the daughter.?
So what makes Dekhawa stand out ? With the wide array of programmes we see on daily basis on different television channels Dekhawa is indeed a unique one when compared to other ongoing dramas which only typically show one sided love, saas bahu politics or love triangle stories. Dekhawa is not only unique because of the lesson it teaches but also because it syncs in aptly with essence of the Holy Month of Ramadhan by educating the masses at different levels.
Dikhawa’s Original Soundtrack (OST) is written, composed and sung by the super talented Sahir Ali Bagga and we are absolutely in love with the song. The OST even clearly gives out the message of “Naiki Kar Darya Main Daal” and to not showoff .
The narrative series will be on air every day at 530 PM only on Geo Television Network.
