Celebrities all over the country were excited to be apart of #High5Save5.

Unilever Pakistan through its brand Lifebuoy cofounded Global Handwashing Day in 2008 with public and private partnerships. The day which is now is now celebrated in over 100 countries across the world has served as a powerful platform to extend the message of health and hygiene to billions. Through its social mission, Lifebuoy soap aims to impact over a billion lives around the world by 2020. A recent study shows that 1.7 million children are unable to reach their fifth birthday due to easily preventable diseases such as diarrhea and pneumonia. Most of these lives can be saved through simple practices like handwashing with soap – one of the most effective and low cost prevention for illnesses like diarrhea and pneumonia.

This year Lifebuoy is striving to make a difference through collective effort and save precious lives by encouraging people to #High5forHandWashing. People gathered at PAF Museum Karachi on 22nd October to participate in this grand event. For each High5 collected, Lifebuoy aims to inculcate the healthy habit of handwashing with soap by teaching them the importance of washing their hands with soap at key occasions, before meals and after the restroom.
