Goodbye Bakhabar Savera: Madeha Naqvi Leaves ARY News and Opens New Chapter in her Career

Madeha Naqvi, news anchor turned popular morning show host in Pakistan, recently announced her departure from ARY News and her show Bakhabar Savera. Naqvi started her career in December 2008 with Dunya News as a news anchor and has since then worked with several TV channels, including Geo TV network, Aaj, and Samaa. She joined ARY News in 2019 and had been hosting the morning show Bakhabar Savera, which quickly became one of the top-ranked shows in its time slot in Pakistan.

Naqvi’s departure from Bakhabar Savera has come as a surprise to her fans, as she had been hosting the show for four years and had become one of the most beloved anchors on Pakistani television. In a video announcement, Naqvi shared that her last day at Bakhabar Savera would be on the 28th of February. She also shared her memories and experiences of working on the show and thanked her viewers for their support.
“Viewers’ appreciation, combined with my hard work and my parents’ prayers, have made me who I am today. As I bid farewell to Bakhabar Savera after 28 wonderful days, I am reminded of the many memories I’ve shared with this show. From getting married to having my first baby, I’ve experienced life’s milestones while hosting this program. I continued working on the show until I was eight months pregnant, and I remember every single moment of my screen time. Although I faced some challenges, I still had an incredible time working on Bakhabar Savera,” Naqvi said in her announcement.

Naqvi spoke about her personal experiences, including a miscarriage in January 2021, and how she continued to work on the show despite her personal struggles.

“Before the birth of my son Zaaer, I suffered a miscarriage in January 2021. Despite only taking two days off, I continued to host the show during that painful time without showing any signs of distress to my viewers. I was there, giving it my all. Even now, I still have flashbacks of those few moments. When my husband Faisal contracted Covid, and his condition was severe, I was hosting the show and living alone as the rest of my family was in isolation and also had contracted the virus,” Naqvi shared.

Naqvi expressed her appreciation for her co-host Satti, whom she referred to as a brother and with whom she shared a beautiful bond. While she will miss her team and colleagues at ARY News. Naqvi also took a moment to mention her make-up artist Jackie, who had become a beloved member of her team, and whom she will miss dearly.

She shared her future plans, stating that she will be hosting a Ramadan transmission on a new channel and will continue hosting a morning show on Samaa.

“I feel my son gives me a lot of motivation, and that helps me take many decisions that I might not be able to take on my own,” Naqvi added.
Naqvi has been known for her daring and courageous reporting too, as she shared with her fans during a Q&A session on social media. She mentioned that she had done several live shows from difficult locations, including the Sehwan blast, and had undertaken many daring tasks during her time as a news anchor.
Naqvi’s departure from Bakhabar Savera has left her fans saddened, but they have expressed their support and well-wishes for her future endeavors. Madeha Naqvi’s hard work, dedication, and perseverance have made her a respected and beloved personality in the Pakistani media industry. Her contributions to the field will be remembered for years to come.
