The Ministry of Interior has withdrawn its earlier decision to cancel public holiday on Iqbal Day and issued a renewed notification, approving that there will be a holiday on November 9, as per media reports.
The ministry was taken to immunity by the public for its earlier announcement on social media. The ministry had not dclared any reason behind its decision.

According to an earlier notification,
“November 9, (Monday) will be a working day, said a statement issued by the Interior Minister, adding all the offices and education institutes would remain open as per routine.”
Iqbal Day is celebrated in Pakistan on 9th November, on the account of the national poet’s birth anniversary.
