ARY Digital’s drama serial Benaam had the audience hooked right from the first episode. The engrossing storyline and power-packed performances by the lead cast including Noor Hassan, Anoushay Abbasi, Saad Qureshi, Komal Meer and Shazeal Shoukat have made the show worthwhile watch. Viewers’ have been anticipating what might happen in the next episode.
This week of episode took quite an emotional turn as things got complicated for Aimal (Anoushay Abbasi) and Umer (Saad Qureshi).
Taimoor (Babar Ali) catches the two of them together at a public place and is angered with Aimal. He comes home and slaps her in a fit of rage.
Haider (Noor Hassan) assures Aiza (Komal Meer) that he will always stand by with her and she should never think they’re alone in the world.
Umer and Aisha’s mother’s blood pressure fluctuates and she is rushed to the hospital. The doctor tells them she shouldn’t take any kind of stress.
Rabia (Nadia Hussain) tells Taimoor they should get Aimal married to Babar (Imran Aslam) but he is strongly opposed to the idea.
Next day, Taimoor apologizes to Aimal for his behavior and asks her to invite Umer home to meet him.
A few days later, Taimoor asks Aimal about why Umer hasn’t come to see him yet. She tells him his number is switched off and she doesn’t know where he lives.
Aiza finds Aimal lying unconscious on the floor. Taimoor takes her to the hospital, much to Rabia and Laiba’s ( Shahzeal Shoukat) dismay.
Aisha’s mother has fixed her marriage to a guy named Arsalan whose sister Tooba becomes obsessed with marrying Umer. Seeing she will fulfill both her responsibilities in one go, their greedy mother forces and manipulates Umer into marrying Tooba for his sister’s sake. Helpless in front of his mother, Umer changes his number and avoids any contact with Aimal. Aisha knows he won’t be happy but Umer tells her sooner or later he will forget Aimal.
Aimal’s temperature spikes and she needs urgent medical care. Haider was at Taimoor’s place at the time. He offers to take Aimal to the hospital which irks Laiba. She stops Haider but he dismisses her.
While at the hospital, Haider tells Aiza she is special for him and he has feelings for her.
Aimal bumps into Umer. The two make eye contact but Aimal ignores him and leaves. From Saad Qureshi’s and Anoushay Abbasi’s expressions, it is evident that this is not easy for either of them.
While having lunch at a restaurant with Aiza and Haider, Aimal gets a call from a new number. She answers it but there’s silence from the other end of the line. She knows its Umer and wants him to say something. Realizing he isn’t being fair to Aimal and himself, he hangs up without saying a word.
Babar gifts Rabia a necklace in the lieu of getting him married to Aimal. Haider, Aimal, and Aiza hear their conversation. Haider warns him to not harm or hurt Aimal or Aiza or else he will forget that he’s his uncle.
Arsalan and Tooba insist on changing the event from engagement to wedding because Tooba can’t wait any longer. Umer refuses to get married so soon but his mother blackmails him about her health and manages to convince him.
Taimoor and Haider plan to send Aimal and Aiza to college so they can continue their education.
Noor Hassan as Haider is brilliant. He nails every scene he is in and is the real MVP on the show. Anoushay Abbasi as Aimal is another knockout in the show. She manages to hold your attention with her powerful acting. Saad Qureshi exceeds expectations and is amazing as Umer. The rest of the cast is great too.
