Fast bowler Hasan Ali has been released from the Pakistan T20I squad ahead of the four-match series against England. The decision, announced by the team management, allows Hasan Ali to continue his commitments in county cricket.
Initially brought into the squad as injury cover for Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali will now focus on his county obligations, having not been required in the immediate setup of the national team. His release comes as Pakistan prepares for the first T20I against England at Headingley, Leeds, starting today.
Pakistan’s men’s cricket team is set to face England in the first of four T20Is at Headingley. The series will continue with matches in Birmingham (25 May), Cardiff (28 May), and The Oval, London (30 May), before both teams depart for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and West Indies.
