Honey Moon (Episodes 3 & 4 Review): Honey And Moon Choose Love Over Family! 

Green Entertainment  is like a buffet. There is something for everyone. Besides the intense social drama, old-world charm, cross-border narratives, and horror genre, Honey Moon is a light-hearted yet emotional show that is relatively easier on the eyes and mind. Viewers have developed a certain kind of fondness for the filmy Moon (Mirza Zain Baig) and Honey (Hina Chaudhry). Will the love birds unite or will their fantasies come crashing down, once they face reality? Let’s Analyze.

Episode 3 begins with Moon’s mother giving him the liberty to get the love of her life no matter what the situation be. On the contrary Shabbir (Usman Peerzada) fixes Honey’s marriage somewhere else. Honey isn’t bothered as she and Moon have already planned to run away from their homes. Shakeela (Saba Hameed) is well aware of his daughter’s secret affair. She is shocked to see her carefree attitude even after her wedding is fixed with some other guy.

Episode 4 begins with Honey’s wedding festivities. The family is celebrating dancing and enjoying. Honey can’t stop fantasizing about Moon even at her mehndi night. Later, Shabbir and Shakeela indulge in an emtional conversation about how their daughter is all grown up and is about to leave their house. The moment finally arrives when Honey runs away with Moon just a day before her wedding. Moon’s brother Haroon catches them and surprisingly doesn’t makes havoc. He lends his support to win over his love. Shakeela is shattered when she reads the letter left by Honey. Shabbir reaches Kabir (Javed Sheik) house and breathes fire. Honey and Moon head to the railway station and escape. More tragedy strikes when Shabbir gets a heart attack.

Director Faheem Burney’s unique treatment  makes the show super entertaining. Writer Ali Sikander should be applauded for writing funny dialogues and making the characters interesting and relatable. Mirza Zain Baig gets a meaty part and does complete justice to it. Hina Chaudhry holds her ground and establishes her own distinctive identity. Nadia Afgan’s comic timing is bang on. Her expressions are enough to make us laugh. Veterans Javed Sheikh, Saba Hameed and Usman Peerzada are fantastic.

Honey Moon is a feel-good show that embarks viewers on an exhilarating journey. Will Honey and Moon’s decision of choosing love over family turn out benifical for them? Honey Moon airs every Monday and Tuesday at 7PM on Green Entertainment.
