ICAP partners with Telenor Pakistan for online payments solution

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), the premier professional accountancy body of the country, joined hands with Pakistan’s first and largest branchless banking service, Easypaisa, for providing online payments solution to its students and members.

This joint initiative is aimed at encouraging the progression of paperless processing, cashless transactions and promotion of the online experience amongst the future corporate managers of Pakistan. With this service, the students of ICAP will be able to pay their registration and examination fees at the click of a button online on ICAP’s website without incurring any additional cost.

 

The signing ceremony took place at ICAP’s Head Office in Karachi on Thursday, April 13, 2017. Mr. Khalilullah Shaikh, VP South – ICAP, Mr. Abdul Malik, Secretary-ICAP, Mr. Shehzad Patel, Chief Financial Officer – ICAP, Mr. Umair Mohsin, Vice President – Telenor Pakistan as well as several senior executives from both the organisations were present at the ceremony.

On the occasion, Mr. Khalilullah Shaikh said,

“This partnership between ICAP and Telenor is not only the need of the hour but a much needed step towards providing tech based convenience. With ICAP’s diverse student base (25,000 plus) spread all across the country, this facility will prove to be an effective tool in inculcating paperless processing, while at the same time empowering the students by providing them a head start experience in online, internet banking”.

While addressing the audience present at the event, Mr. Umair Mohsin said

“Telenor is a keen enabler of initiatives for the education sector and partnering with ICAP on this project is one such accomplishment, which will provide greater convenience to students and members across Pakistan.”

Through this facility all types of fee payments for ICAP can be made at the touch of a button by simply logging on to www.icap.org.pk
